The early history of America was plagued by an ever-present migraine that sabotaged any chances that America might become a united people: slavery.

Teddy Roosevelt intrigued me because of his rambunctious children and his love of the outdoor world. FDR (Roosevelt the Second) fascinated me because, through radio, his voice was part of the sound track of my childhood.
